The first Creamery District Art Market held on Saturday May 31 was enjoyed by all. The Art Market is held at 1251 9th Street in Arcata, from 9 am to 1 pm, on the last Saturday of each month from May through November.
Vendors had booths selling glass, jewelry, clothing, ceramics, bath products and more. Visitors enjoyed dancing and grooving to Jenni and David and the Sweet Soul Band playing their unique mix of soul tunes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The acoustics were excellent due to the placement of the Art Market band stand between the Creamery Building and the Northcoast Children’s Services Building on 9th St. The Arcata Playhouse treated market goers to delicious coffee, cookies and breakfast sandwiches.
The June 28 Art Market will feature the local acoustic Americana band The Attics, featuring solid rhythms, vocal harmonies, new takes on classic tunes and catchy original songs.
Creamery District is accepting vendors for the June 28 Art Market. The Art Market has a focus on “The Arts” in the broadest sense of the idea, with the sale of the following types of items: all types of artwork, crafts, culinary and homemaking arts, handmade items, jewelry, decorative art and furniture, art collectables, clothing, performance art items, music and musical instruments.
Any vendors or musicians are encouraged to contact the Creamery District Art Market Manager at CreamryInfo@gmail.com or use the online application process links below.
